Ying Que
The Basic Activist Kitchen
Ying Que is a cultural worker, facilitator, and organizer with a background in anarchist anthropology. Wearing different hats in the worlds of art and education, she generally operates from or for a collective context. Topics she published writing about include: songs for resistance, feminist economy and commoning, unlearning busyness, self-organization and social movements. She is co-initiator of queer collective niet normaal* who organize parties and protest in Utrecht and part of Read-in, a collective that experiments with reading and memorizing practices. Since summer 2020, she’s curator at cultural center Moira, preparing to open the expo when the virus is under control.
